Different anon than the precedent but I was just passing by and saw that you and the other anon were fellow Barbarians fans and I got excited because I really thought this fandom was nonexistent lol. So forgive my intrusion but I’m just really happy to have found other people to fangirl on this show with!! I was wondering what you were thinking about theThusnelda’s pregnancy plot? The scene at the end of season 1 with that old seer woman (or whatever she is) suggests that the father of Thusnelda’s child is Folkwin and not Ari, which would fit with the promise Folkwin made to the gods at the begining of the season (to give them his first born in exchange for victory against the Romans). So I really believe she is pregnant with Folkwin’s child otherwise we wouldn’t get that tension created by Folkwin’s promise in season 2. But ngl I’m kind of bumped that this is not Ari’s child because I’m afraid that her being pregnant will create tension between Ari and her. Do you think this is the same child that will end up captured by the Romans like in real history or is it just a fictive child and she will become pregnant with Ari’s child in later seasons?

Yes you’re right, the seer said it wasn't Ari's baby as thusnelda was pregnant for a while. It's 100% Folkwin's.
In actual history Germanicus ( the roman that kidnaps thusnelda while she’s pregnant with ari’s baby) doesn’t start his campaign until a couple years after Arminius’s victory. Chances are, in the show, arminius will meet what he assumes is his child ( if the baby doesn’t die).
Thusnelda being pregnant with folkwin’s baby won’t create tension because ari is not the type of guy who would stress over that type of news. He already knows thusnelda was pretty involved with folkwin. Considering what we know of him so far it would be out of character for him to be mad or reject Thusnelda’s kid if he suspected he wasn’t the father.

They are mainly all historical people (unfortunately Folkwin was made up for the show haha) but honestly... Was so amazing!!
Was even better watching it in German with English subtitles and and and.. The Romans actually had Latin accents!
