for the fic ask game i propose any or all of 1, 8, 14 and 31. for 1 maybe just what scene you would do and how if you aren’t down to the massive task of writing it- i think perchance to dream for the fic in question💓💓
sasa i am So sorry i let this languish so long i really did want to write something for it and my brain has just been completely shut off for weeks. ALAS. but i'll answer it now bc if i don't i'll forget it forever
Write a scene from [perchance to dream] in another character’s POV
okay so here is where i would put my scene. if i HAD it. this one requires some context actually. originally ptd had an extended ending—it included what happens after the end cutoff, with peter waking up to find caspian there and his reaction. that was all from caspian's pov, but i had some friends read it and they suggested the fic might feel better if it ended sooner because it felt like it was dragging there by the end. as such i chopped it all out and i agree, i think it was a good call. but if i were writing another scene from this fic in someone else's pov i would actually write that scene but from peter's pov because i think it would be crazy and fun.
alternatively not ptd but can u imagine their last kiss in north of desire/the peterfic before they leave except edmund or susan half walked in on it and yeeted themselves back into the hedges because oh god oh fuck so that IS happening. hehe...
8. What is your favorite line/section from [perchance to dream]?
the scenes involving the rebuilt cair paravel make me crazy tbh. like why'd i do that.
14. What makes you happiest? New fic comments, kudos, bookmarks, user subscribers, story subscribers, or Tumblr asks?
i can't see bookmarks because of my ao3 skin that filters most stats out, and i also cannot see user subs because of this, and i rarely open my stats page in general so i can't see story subscribers most of the time. they are all meaningless to me. kudos is just like a silly name in an email and more often than not is like "wow, so this one person read 12 of my fics and didn't leave a single comment. that feels real good (not)." i love getting comments or people in my tumblr inbox telling me things they liked about my fics or asking me about them. fandom is a community and fic is a conversation. asks and comments mean i'm not just saying shit into the void. it's nice. i like knowing what people enjoyed and are curious about. it inspires me or reassures me that thing i thought was cool was cool. you know? idk most metrics people regard of as making a fic "big" or whatever on ao3 do not affect me at all and are indeed hardly visible to me so. they don't make me feel any happier.
31. What fic meant the most to you to write?
the susanfic. it's just like falling snow is a fic i've been holding in my heart since i was a little kid. it meant the world to me that i wrote it, and that i love what i wrote.
