Foxfire is my self-insert, so that's a lil tricky to answer for! (Hopefully I'll publish his stuff someday pfdsfjsdfa)

My favourite thing about writing him is, I have major imposter syndrome, I suppose. Comes with being trans and a little weird in the head. Sometimes what I love about Foxfire is that he helps me contextualise a lot of the stuff I go through- he helps me feel sane, or at least insane in an enjoyable way. My favourite things for writing into him are absolutely the strength he has after abandonment, the ability he has to build community, it's a major theme for him.

@radioactiverats has also really helped me develop him via his inclusion in their Cadet Au!!! They've helped me realise his ways are very kind, if offputting.
