Foggy November + some October memories 🥲 - - All taken on iPhone except that one slide film from Quebec. - - To continue my quirkiness, I've decided to write about this idea I had for a short film. It started off around the image of an escape. A real place in the world where you felt completely different from who you were. It was set on an island, this story. Two girls went on this island for an escape; an escape from school, an escape from society, an escape from parents and friends. For whatever reasons of lame societal expectations and over dependency on success, they found themselves lost inside a void of toxic mentality. They couldn't be themselves anymore, unless around each other- in which their relationship also became unaccepted and therefore unrequited. They thought going to the island would solve everything. They would've been free, they could've escaped. To no surprise however, this island was a facade for all their dreams and fantasy's. Instead, this escape turned out only to be a result of their avoidance and insecurities, a disappointing revelation indeed.
