FOCUS MARES AX 4.0

At first I had to decide, what bike do I need? I had a mountainbike and a fixie, but these are not the best choices for a road trip. Good to know, the quality of the roads in Romania is not the best in the world, so a simple race bike is also not for this trip. After a quick research I decided to go with something between everything. A bike for asphalt, with massive frame and good geometry, with strong wheels. So I started to check the cyclocross bikes. (yes tour bikes are also option, but I don't really like this frame geometry) I knew I want a good quality, but not over-prized bike. One day I saw a Focus cc bike in the window of a bikeshop, luckily with some discount. And I pointed exactly this bike, in the last September, when I tried some of them in a huge store. (than I wrote a list about my favs, and this was the first on the list. I recognised this, only after buying) On the next day I already sat on the saddle of my new Focus Mares AX 2.0. (I think, with no overstatement, this is the best cyclocross bike, the owner of Focus company is a cyclocross rider, he started to develop frames at first for himself and after some years he expanded the business)
