When a man comes to feel his guilt, he longs to be set free. His cry is, O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the bondage, who shall set my conscience free from the chains with which the law has bound? And the gracious answer comes: âChrist hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree.â Jesus takes away manâs guilt by becoming Himself as one guilty. âJesus is laid in the borrowed tomb, indicative of the fact that He carried borrowed sins.â When the debt-bound man is set at liberty, the clouds are swept away, sweet sunshine enters the soul, the time of singing birds returns, the flowers give forth their fragrance, and all things are revived. So it is when the sinner believes that Christ Jesus has discharged every claim.
Preacherâs Homiletical
Justification does not depend on your performance in the Christian life but on God applying the benefits of the death and resurrection of Jesus to you.
Colin Smith
âScorecardâ: God doesnât keep score!
Everyone has sinned; fallen short of Godâs standards. Some acts are committed with intent (commission), whilst others in ignorance (omision). Either way transgression has occurred. Godâs omniscience establishes guilt, hence justice needs appeased.
In the workplace everyone has fallen short of the railroadâs standards either knowingly or unknowingly. Technological monitoring brings awareness of an employeeâs guilt and company sentencing takes place.Though similar there is a vast difference between Godâs dealing with sin and the railroadâs.
God in His tender mercy, knowing we cannot obtain perfection, placed upon His Son our condemnation. Through Christâs selfless sacrifice people receive more than a reprieve [a delay of impending punishment or sentence], they are not condemned. Christ separates a person from their failings and takes it upon Himself. The railroad, on the other hand, has no such savior. No upper level manager will carry your guilt.Transgressions will remain on file accumulating in preparation for final termination. The railroad keeps score and theyâre unforgiving.
Instead of recording our past failures in order to accuse and condemn, Jesus remembers our sins no more. Christ alone is able to wipe our slate clean; for there is no longer any condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. With Christ there is sanctification, not condemnation.
This teaching doesnât grant a license to sin. It allows Christâs redemptive work to remove the burden of works righteousness. No more self-effort.
Christians are truly free for they are unshackled from their guilt for it is on the cross and the cross declares âno condemnationâ. The scorecard reads:
 Me: 0 Christ: All

The law has been satisfied and God has been appeased in Christ. Armed with this powerful pronouncement, we are enabled to live freely in Christ as victors over sin. Grace is not licensed to sinâmay it never be! It is the seedbed of righteousness. We know that if we abide in Christ, He is like an invincible fortress that protects us from every danger of condemnation. For those who abide in Christ, there is nothing but forgiveness and eternal love. The slanderous accusations of the devil are nothing but empty words. Jesus paid it all, and all to Him we owe.
Genci C.
Who can claim and enjoy this wonderful statement of "NO CONDEMNATION"? Only those who are "IN CHRIST JESUS" (v.1). There is no safer place to be! In the days of Noah there was only one safe place to be--in the ark! Godâs judgment came down upon everyone who was not in the ark. Today Jesus Christ is our Ark of safety! Those who are positioned in Him are safe and secure and are not in danger of the judgment of God.

You can be right with God through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ who paid it all for you.
Can the devil condemn us?
No.Can our friends condemn us?
No.Can our enemies condemn us? No.
Can the demons condemn us? No.
Will God condemn us? No, he wonât.
Will Jesus condemn us? No, he wonât. He died and rose again for us.
Can we condemn ourselves? We can try, but we canât even condemn ourselves, because through justification you have a standing that is eternally secure in the eyes of Almighty God.
God is not confused by your confusion. He is not bothered by the fact that you do not even understand this completely. God says he will not condemn you, and he wonât. That is the great implication of justification.
