My last-ish post about expanding on the Fontainean nobility titles that may or may not be inaccurate lore wise because I don't bother reading the in game lore (much) but I love the quests and the very french vibes of the plot, but yeah. I'm high on the mawhwa reading binge and I NEEEEEDD more aristocracy centered media about Duke Wriothesley and I AM working on a proper fic somehow, someway, sometime, legit promise buttt I now have new brainrot to rot who's brain? Mine.
Synopsis; on crack with commentary from the author
The common people don't know that vampires exist, why would they think so? Such dangerously alluring yet un-human 'monsters' could only possibly exist in fiction made by imaginative fantasy writers who crave darker kinds of romance. (whack)
But they DO exist, in the shadows, yet in plain sight. Hidden behind the gilded carriages that stroll through the nation's countrysides (lets pretend Fontaine is wayyyy bigger in this au, like a whole empire with towns and outskirts and mini-cities separate from the main city in game) They hide by being seen riding around the city on private aquabuses during nice sunny days.
The common people don't know that vampires exist, but the higher society, the rich and powerful nobles and politicians do.
Because a majority of them ARE those blood-sucking creatures. In fact, the court that makes up Fontaine's leading powers in government, none of them are human, which includes Wriothesley, the elusive Duke of the Fortress of Meropide
Stay tuned I guess??? one day I WILL finish a proper chapter by chapter fic
