percy loosens the blanket around his shoulders, spreading it out over their laps. this moving castle (for all its perks) can get pretty cold, and he's determined to share what he can. besides, jason's already offered so much to him – even with neither of them knowing entirely who he is. "going into town to pick up breakfast isn't so bad – but you should let me teach you how to fish sometime." it's not like he's any good at cleaning this place up, and he wants to repay the favor /somehow/.
that’s the thing about percy — it’s like he forgets, sometimes, that jason as a world of magic at his fingertips. he could wave a hand and pull a fish directly out of the water, he could conjure one, summon one. he could make the remaining bones of the fish swim and leap out of water as if alive, still. percy? doesn’t seem to take that into account. the offer to try things the difficult way, with the promise of some quiet time spent with his new house guest — it’s enticing.
` i’d like that very much. when? ` there is a setting for the door he could use ... but would his being there track the essence of his magic out to such a peaceful place? as always, thoughts of medea, of the oncoming war, lurk in the back of his mind. where IS peaceful, where is quiet and serene enough to enjoy the few hours of respite with percy and his friends?
nico, curled under jason’s jacket, snoring delicately into the couch cushions, lets out a sleepy snort. calling jason out on his fishing endeavours, as it were. jason nudges him with a foot, glances sidelong at percy as he does.
` maybe we could take nico with us, when we go? `
