ice cream in late autumn is almost as absurd as ice cream in anytime of winter but to kit, it’s some kind of tradition he forced upon isaac—his boston brother, even if the younger male had no recollections of the city. regardless of the season or the schedules mounted until their necks, he won’t miss their ice cream dates. kit readies himself, a tight wool scarf around his neck and matching mittens over his hands. he struts to isaac’s room, not bothering to knock; they’re too close for such formalities.
“ready to go? the ice cream will melt soon.” his joke is... painful but kit laughs to mask the cringe in his shoulders as they roll, settling unevenly on his frame.
