he is a bit tired, but that’s because he is overworked. most of the end of year award shows had been done, but there was so much more that was planned ahead. he had his solo debut right around the corner, that should be exciting but jihoon had been dreading it more than anything. he never had his name on anything music related and now he has a whole album pulled out of his ass. anything he wanted to do creativity wise, which was a lot to unpack when realization strikes through. he doesn't say it or show it, he's so used to covering any anxiety or worry that is actually starting to think gold star might decide its a sign to get him into acting.

so he is a bit out of it when it comes to showing hayi what his dance is about. it's only them really, and the company laptop on the ground as he watches his very first official choreography on the screen. its almost surreal how much he likes it, there was just something extremely satisfying about the taps of everyone's feet onto the wooden floor. 

its not catalyst's usual dance style, he desperately hopes hayi notices that. she's a great dancer herself, with plenty of experience and choreographies under her belt. despite his won experience in dance and jihoon priding himself with the variety of styles he knows, he hasn't really... worked on a choreography since his trainee days. catalyst is very monitored the company has a vision, so the fact that both rioh and him were allowed to experiment outside of the hard set box of cool, powerful, is worrisome.

“ah, hayi! you didn’t get the meet the newest addition!” he says, a giggle leaving his lips. that’s when he scoops her up, a new puppy, who was on looking. duri takes the paw of the puppy, before waving towards the other with her paw. a giggle leaves his lips as he does so, head almost shaking a bit at how silly the whole thing was. but, hayi got to meet the other dogs, so he wanted to be sure that the newest addition to the lim-park household got her time to shine too in the meeting of friends and family. plus, there probably wasn’t any shock that there was another puppy in the midst of the house; but, duri was sure that there wasn’t going to be another dog for a long, long while - simply considering the fact that there was no way to handle another, and duri was very, very good with the four dogs that were now roaming around the house.

the complex had been in the making for a while now, and she had to admit that the way it turned out was pretty neat. while she knows that it’s mostly a business venture for the companies, she does think that if she were a fan, it’d be worth one visit. “is there anywhere you haven’t seen yet? i think anywhere but here is a good idea,” suji states before looking around the room to find it slowly filling up with more people. she wasn’t usually this avoidant of others, but it was becoming slowly and slowly more tiresome trying to respond to similar questions being asked to her.

before hayi can even answer, she takes a quick look at the map that’s plastered on the wall. “cafe? i am kind of curious to see what kind of pastries they’ve made and if it’s our faces drawn onto them or something.” she thinks it’s a ridiculous idea, but she wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually a thing. her better guess is that it’ll be a bunch of cupcakes and cookies with group logos on them.

minhee was more or less getting to a degree of tipsiness that was gonna call him to head home soon. it was probably for the best, he was getting tired from all these social interactions, but it was probably the alcohol showing his honest opinion about the situation. he's been pushed and pulled into conversation, he feels like he hasn't stopped talking for hours at this point and when he looks at his watch, it shows it wasn't a feeling. it wasn't that late into the night yet, at least not for him but he could notice the party starting to thin out. idols and staff leaving, some together, others alone. it was pretty interesting to see, but his attention is quickly taken away by someone else.

he beams at hayi, smile wide it almost hurts his cheeks, how can he not beam at her? they have only been together, officially at least for a bit over a month, but he is very much aware that their friends will all say something else and he doesn't think he can argue with it. "well well, if it isn't the miss song hayi, what brings you to me?" minhee asks, lifting his glass of whiskey and taking a low sip from it. he isn't sure how exactly he should be acting right about now, but he is keeping his hands to himself. if anything he is more than sure hayi knows this, and the fact that he has has plenty of drinks tonight. shots as well, champagne, some cocktails, he's not really sure anymore, but what he's sure of is the fact that the two of them should also leave sometime soon.

with that, suji makes a gesture towards her cat who’s lounging around on his tower before handing hayi a glass of water. despite her many years in the industry, there were only a handful of people that suji could consider best friends. maybe not even a handful. she felt pretty lucky to be able to meet hayi way back when, back before equinox even debuted, and now she’s remained her closest friend ever since. 

“you caught me at the right time too. i’ve been trying to put together my concert setlist, and i can really use a second opinion. or a third. or a fourth. just anything, really.” it’s not like her to ramble like this, but she has been grasping at empty straws for a while. she has no clue how other artists handle this, but she’s been having the hardest time firuing things out. “maybe i should have people send me a top 5 list of their favorite songs from me and then throw them into a hat.”

in the world of alice kim, things were going swimmingly. candy shop had wrapped up, with alice earning first place in the show’s rankings, candy had debuted with a fun, bouncy song, and while they hadn’t gotten their first win just yet, she had hope that they’d manage the feat with their first comeback. Her mother was proud of her and gushed about her star quality. all in all, things were good.

she wasn’t exactly dressed to impress in sweatpants and an old sailor moon tshirt, but she hadn’t anticipated seeing anyone that night. she made her way down from the dorms to her favorite practice room - the one with the best acoustics, by her measure. she’d entered without so much as knocking, and startled back when she noticed someone in the room. she was all the more mortified when she realized exactly who it was. 

“ah, unnie, i’m so sorry! i should have knocked. i’m, um, i’m alice from candy. you did amazing with our choreography for like ooh ahh, by the way!” she complimented, forcing herself to relax even as her fingernails dug into her palms. she would not babble and make a fool of herself in front of song hayi. it simply wasn’t an option. “...i’m a really big fan of yours, so i extra appreciate you taking the time for us.”
