Can't Remember to Forget You || Sadie & Flynn (closed)
Sadie knew that befriending the Sheriff would come in handy (and by befriending, she meant sleeping with). Casual conversation turned into flirtation, then to sex, and then post-coitus small talk. And it was in this small talk that she casually brought up an acquaintance of hers only to have him confirm her suspicions. Flynn was indeed here in Oxford. From that point, it wasn't hard to find him.
She started early one evening and went about the town, trying to find any whiff of him. And soon enough, she found it and traced it to her best ability. Sadie had just about lost hope when the trail ran cold in the middle of the square. Too many smells conglomerated there; and she couldn't find where his had left the mass.
But then she looked up and saw him come into view. And it was instantaneous. She felt her dead heart waken a little. She knew she and Flynn were no great love story; but she did care for him beyond what she felt for almost any other man in her history. And it was this that caused her to rush forward towards him.
It wasn't until the last second before she collided into him that he saw her. And whether he wanted it or not, she did collide into him. Her arms wrapped around his neck and she held him close, a smile rarely seen on her lips now showing. "Flynn!" she breathed out happily, her fingers grasping the fabric of his shirt. They'd gone their separate ways amicably a century or so ago, but it was always so good to see a familiar face. Especially one that she'd spent many wonderful evenings with. She then pulled back to look at him, "Now, what in the hell could bring you to a town like this?"
