Very tough conditions yesterday out fly fishing for pike with the lads. The weather threw everything it had us but we persevered. The summer drought badly affected this lake and so much of it was still not… More fishable due to excessive weed , algae and low water. Mostly small jacks here and there throughout the day but on what was to be our very last drift of the day we managed to hit a brief feeding spell and got into a few better fish. Nothing big which was a bit disappointing for this particular lake but they fought hard and the 16lber that Edd caught gave a great account of itself and fought well above its weight.
