DinApril Day 28: A dinosaur that you would like to see in a movie.
Welcome to DinApril 2024! Our twenty-eighth day features a dinosaur that I would like to see in a movie: Stegoceras validum! A female Stegoceras is about to attack a Fluvionectes, a freshwater elasmosaurid from the Dinosaur Park Formation. How did she get there? Who knows?
Pachycephalosaurs rarely appear in movies, and most of the ones that do are either Pachycephalosaurus itself or synonyms of Pachycephalosaurus (Stygimoloch and Dracorex have both appeared in feature-length films). To my knowledge Stegoceras, the first valid genus of pachycephalosaur ever NAMED, has never appeared in a movie before, so I decided to use Stegoceras for this prompt.
Coloration inspired by the Yobe Stegoceras from an unknown year between the 1990s and 2000s, a toy that I actually own in real life.
