Twilight came to her house for a night time party. Fluttershy hadn't thought about a guest room when she created her home, and her armchair was too uncomfortable to sleep in.

She divided the space of her bed so Twilight could spend the night. Fluttershy didn't fall asleep for quite some time because she was engrossed in conversation with her. When her friend fell asleep, she saw that even in her sleep she retained her uniqueness. She was just as charming as she was during the day.

Twilight and Fluttershy are in two separate classes, but they have one thing in common - they are not left alone by school bullies. So one day when they were both locked in a smelly room for sports equipment, they got to know each other and decided that in this situation it would be better to stick together.

I can add that later in time, they both stole a car from one of the hooligans and drove out of town in an act of spontaneity. When Fluttershy was at the peak of stress and fear, Twilight was in a completely different mood. Her mindless joy and adrenaline, rare guests in her body, infected her friend and both of them, probably listening to My Chemical Romance on the player, drove along the road laughing and being satisfied with the deed they had done, not thinking about the coming future. Here, only themselves mattered, winning in life for once.
