Summary: Ava loved her bff so much that the two ended up living next door to eachother. So when you came down to visit her and to see her in the grasps of danger with men in horns you took action with your own hands literally.
The amount of sheer awe that came from Ava and Piercing deep blue eyes that watched you made the silence loud but nto as loud as ava shouting at what you just did.
The moment you stepped foot into the apartment to visit Ava the energy was different and foul a stench of something reeked as You couldn't help but purse your lips at the musky scent of another entity one that would leech off onto an force of energy.
The sound of screaming into a hand were heard as You stepped from the corner to see some males with horns that glowed in the dark of the living room as the males heads snap there head over to stare at you as you froze the male with black obsidian like hair point "CAPTURE THEM" "Prince Asch-WAIT" the male with deep green horns vanished from his spot as you snapped your head to behind you to see his hands reach out to you in a fast pace.
The grip on ava is mouth dropped slightly as she shouted "(NAME)" in the blink of an eye Leif frozen for a moment, eyes wide as he was hit against the wall of the apartment that lead to cracks on the purple wallpapered walls to where the other daemos were who froze entirely as Ava was able to breach out of the male with teal eyes is arms as they all stared at you glaring at them your eyes glowering slightly at them like they were prey.
You were quick to step up infront of Ava who ran up to you as you couldn't help but heave arms up with a flow of energy on your finger tips glaring at the daemos glancing back at Ava who was on the floor behind her shakily panting "N/N" "Hush" You snapped at her through gritted teeth "that human" The male with yello horns and orange attire blinked and muttered "It- It-"
A fire ball casted on the obsidian haired male is hands "That doesn't matter lets get rid of that human and get this over and done with" You were quick to act as light started pooling at your tip of your fingers as with an accelerative pace, your stature shifted into a different form
As projectiles of fireballs attacks rained down they collided with a shimmering dome of energy burst forth, expanding outward with a soft hum enveloping Ava and Your forms in a protective embrace. The shield glowed a vibrant blue flickering faintly as swirling patterns danced across its surface resembling magical runes of arcane.
The shield pulsed rhythmically its glow intensifying whenever a new strike landed, resolutely keeping harm at bay.
The male with white tipped horns gritted his teeth "PRINCE ASCH CEASE THIS AT ONCE!" the male with deep blue eyes stated quickly grappling Asch is wrist "we cannot waste anymore of your magic-" "Rhys you dare-"
Silence filled the room as the male with the red fluffy cape scowled "What are you" you repeated as you stared down at them as Ava spoke "they're demons!" "no we are daemos- uhm prince asch let me" the male with deep blue horns turned to stare at you with interest.
You stared deadly at the group as the barrier in brilliant flashes of light dissipating harmlessly. Ava stared wide-eyed with relief, could feel the faint warmth of the shield surrounding herself and you a tangible reassurance of safety.
Outside the barrier Rhys stood firm eyes staring deeply into your e/c eyes, their energy unwavering, every ounce of focus dedicated to holding the shield strong. With each second the shieldās presence was a silent vow: as long as it stood, no harm would touch those within.
Ava eyes swirled with panic and she spoke "N/N whats that- (name)ā¦ (name)!" Ava muttered shakily at you summoning Thin, sharp projectiles made of crystalline magic hovered in formation like a lethal constellation.
Each shard was razor-edged, tapering to a fine point that seemed almost too perfect, catching and refracting the ambient light into dazzling, prismatic hues. Rhys couldn't help but stare at awe at the sheer amount of magical energy and force coming from your hands
Their translucent bodies pulsed faintly imbued with an inner glow that flickered in sync with the shield below, as though drawing power from the same source. The shards hung in the air perfectly still yet brimming with an almost predatory energy waiting for a single command.
"Please let me explain of the situationā¦ Sorceress?" "I am no Sorceress. I'm an alchemistā¦ nothing else" Rhys blinked at the new word as he spoke "ahem well please let us explain this dire situation we do not mean to cause harm" "I thought we meant to cause all harm?" pierce questioned as Rhys hushed him with Asch fuming as Leif shakily was rubbing his head and standing up staring you down.
Occasionally a shard trembled ever so slightly emitting a faint chime, like a crystalline bell, as if eager to be unleashed. The projectiles flared brighter their sharp edges glinting with menace, ready to retaliate and shoot down to the group. Suspended in a delicate but deadly balance, the crystalized projectiles seemed less like defensive tools and more like sentinels of the shieldāsilent, watchful, and poised to strike the instant danger drew too close.
Ava pursed her lips "wait that fire magic stuff I saw before was realā¦ The magic from (Name) is hands were real?" "yes! allow me to explain- well for the fire part atleast" Rhys started "We are from another world and go by the name daemos" Ava tilted her head slightly "Your name is daemos?" Rhys shook his head "No We are daemos" rhys said gesturing to the other men with coloured horns while Ava looked even more confused "your all named daemos?" Rhys sighed shaking his head "No my name is rhys"
Ava eyes widened abit "Your world is rhys?" Ava said her eyebrows furrowed with confusion as you were quick to speak "AVA let him finish I need to know if they mean harm and from these guys I sense ALL the harm"
Rhys rubbed his temples speaking "Just- ughā¦ We are from another world our home isā¦ being threaten by a horrible monster?" Rhys said the statement sounded more like an question "What?" Ava questioned "Yes! Our home is being threatened by a horrible monster that threatens to engulf everything we care aboutā¦. That's right, so we've come to E-urth to learn about it to discover if this world is suitable for us to move our people here." Rhys noted "Move your people..here?" Ava questioned more "Wait that's not-" Noi started "Shh, just go with it!" Leif said hitting Noi's head making the male yelp and rub the spot the lief hit.
After the whole run down you made sure to be around Ava more even though the girl was pointing at you saying "Your a witch!" while you completely denying it and saying you were an alchemist before quickly submitted to her annoying pestering before admitting it.
In return you made her do a binding spell so she doesn't tell a soul in return she'd get something and in return she wanted a body pillow of her favorite fictional character whichā¦ was quite entertaining.
Rhys though and the other daemos were more heightened and weary around you and your pure magical energy that was on parr maybe even stronger then asch due to well the lack of magic in daemos but it did have them make sure to stay on your good side.
Rhys though would try to learn things form you like he did with lady grandma trying to learn from you. Hell you even took note how Noi unlike the others seemed to lack Magic so let's just say Rhys dropped his jaw when you gave Noi something to keep on his person as it was a small miniature Jar with dirt a plant and a crystalized shimmer glow of a mixture of colours that still had every component inside it seen properly.
Rhys who was witnessing you brewing the item blink when you handed the necklace with the vial to him "This is a jar of dirt?" he paused as you hummed "Yes" silence engulfed you two as you picked up a magazine in your crafting room.
Rhys looked at the necklace and looked back to you "Is the Jar of dirt going to help Noiā¦?" Rhys questioned raising a brow to you as you had your arms crossed reading your magazine opening one hand to "If you don't want it, give it back" Rhys was quick to hold onto is shyly looking away with a slight blush "Hm.." "Then it helps"
Noi though when he got the necklace awkwardly wore it for abit yet he took note how sometimes he'd feel the familiar sparks in his fingers of magic. Noi couldn't help but beam and side eye you in the living room talking to Ava.
A moment when Leif was trying to heal himself one time you would just pop over and just hand him a swirling potion which he refused at all saying that it wasn't needed but chugged it when you threatened him that if he didn't he'd die which you learnt was something he'd find entertaining with his life on the line so he'd chug the vial and hey his scars were all gone. though when you offered to heal the scar on his eye he would grab your wrist tightly but knew you meant good it was weirdā¦ Humans helping Daemos was weird.
Pierce found it relaxing to be in a room with you when you were just reading your book in solemn silence though he does question your morals. One time though Pierce kept his head down because he heard you mutter to him when walking past something in daemos tongue "I know" He kept silence though becoming more guarded around Asch.
Asch out of all of them were questioning you but couldn't help but hold respect though he referred to you as Prisoner like Ava he knew what you were capable of and when he'd refer to Ava as a Human Sorceress he questioned if you were Ava is pupil while you explain that you are a witch and only do things to gain something back in returnā¦ like a benevolent witch but would do anything for free for Ava.
Asch though would stare at you and one time he asked if you'd be able to brew a potion for sleeping easier instead you just gave him a melatonin explaining what it'd do to help him which he found like you were poisoning him but explained everything so he was thankful for that.
But it doesn't matter about them it mattered Rhys is relationship with you. Slowly you and Rhys grew a bond sharing knowledge but keeping it limited with each other yet a huge bond started to create. Rhys though couldn't help but feel guilty for the truth he kept from you and Ava.
You were able to grin at him when he'd share things to you in return for more knowledge of earth as you explained customs and learnt that Daemos was in the mid-evil era. you two slowly started to care for eachother and learning about eachothers habits sometimes helping Rhys out with the other Daemos and teaching hem common manners that are for humans while Ava was watching squealing at how cool you look.
Even though you and Rhys got close one thing was certain from you was that no matter how many times you offer to help them you knew their true intentions after getting as much information you can leech out of all of them.
Rhys knew though that sooner or later you'd figure them out and they can't have that but for now he'll enjoy staying beside you you two learning each other and seeing the differences of potions and spells within culture as well.
