"Dude, you were really drunk last night," hgjglaslldlclslummm genofell?
Red groaned as he blinkedawake. His head was killing him. Whathad happened last night? The light assaulted his eye sockets, making them hurt.It was too fucking bright. The sound of chuckling reached him, and he lifted ahand to shadow his sockets as he tried to see where it came from. It didnâtsound like Boss. Which it by all logic wasnât, because Boss always sulkedwhenever he got drunk. A scolding would be likelier than laughter.
Heblinked again as he finally managed to focus his sight enough to recognize theother person in the room. Why was Geno here? Now when he thought about it,where was he? This wasnât his room. Genostood leaned against the doorframe, two cups in his hands, and was lookingamused. His eyelight twinkled.
âdude, you were really drunk last night,â he said as he walked up to whatever bed Redwas lying on. Red moaned in pain as he did his best to sit up, and glared athis counterpart.
âreally?hadnât noticed,â he muttered. Still, he took one of the cups Geno offered him, exhaling in relief as he recognized the smell of strong coffee. He downed halfof it, ignoring heat burning in his mouth and throat. âwhere âm i?â
âmybedroom in the multivoid.â
Redgaped at him.
âwhy?âhe exclaimed, only to wince as his headache got worse from the loud noise. Whathad happened last night? Geno laughedquietly.
âyougot quite clingy yesterday,â he replied with a grin. Redâs sockets widened as afew memories came back. Of him basically confessing all his feelings to thesubject of them â Geno. âi thought it best i made sure you didnât do anythingstupid.â
Redblushed brightly. He sank back into the pillows and dragged the cover over hishead. Why? At least Geno didnât seemweirded out by it, which was a relief. He didnât want to lose his best friendbecause of his stupid emotions. Fucking hell, what had he thought? Nothing, that was what. He really should stopdrinking.
Likethat ever would happen.
âstarson fire,â he mumbled from beneath the cover. âcan we forget this ever fuckinâ happened?â
Genolaughed again, dragging it down. It was almost strange how cheerful Geno acted, now when Red thought about it. When was this version of him ever truly happy? Like Death had saidonce, Geno was a masochist and loved being depressed.
ânah,âhe replied, grin growing wider. He bowed down until they were face to face. Theotherâs face was still burning red. âbecause i happen to love you too.â
Withthat, before giving him a chance to process what has just been said, Geno boweddown, and pressed his teeth to Redâs.
