I keep hearing people say they don’t want to get the flu vax. They say “My immune system can handle it”. They say “I think my body should fight it naturally” and “I never get the flu”.

Look, that might be true, but those are not good reasons to decline the flu vax. Just because you can handle getting the flu, doesn’t mean that the person you give it to can. You can be contagious without showing symptoms. And the person you give it to might not be able to fight it naturally.

Not to mention, the more people who get the vax, the higher the rate of herd immunity!

I get it, I do. The sore arm and the annoying cold-like symptoms suck. But they suck a whole lot less than getting the actual flu, or giving it to someone who can’t fight it.
