In honor of the artist’s birthday, we’re looking back at @tau_au Tauba Auerbach’s #FlowSeparation, 2018. The floating work of art’s title referred to the phenomenon when areas of fluid in a wake move backward, creating eddies. Using the historic painting process of “dazzling,” the transformed fire boat took free ticket holders for rides 🚢🌊.
