Our bodies were rotting because none of us were willing to forget and forgive.

The truth is, he feeds me in a way food never has. He gives me more energy - more life - than apples and oranges, calories that weigh me down like lead balloons. Running through the rain, stopping to kiss underneath saturated spring blossoms that had bloomed too early made me feel so unbelievably full yet so weightless, I'd be satisfied living off the memory of it for the rest of my life.

Sometimes when I close my eyes to sleep I write poems in my head but I wake up in the morning and I can't remember, so this one's to my brain being overstimulated at 3am always working at the wrong time and the visions of paper and words buried somewhere in the file of thoughts before I dream: to be erased before morning

If the day comes when the heavens open and the earth beneath our feet cracks, if all the sins of creation are released unto humanity and everything around us erupts into flames, we will stand together, your hand in mine until the bitter end.
