For some reason I made my MC a crybaby sweetheart (still burnt Farah’s room tho cause that play was a shitshow and a half) for some reason? I dunno why, probs because being nice despite people giving us shit is like everything I’m not…and also maybe to guilt-trip Vincent. I wasn’t sure about romancing him but I finally Akram and like…yea I’m gonna date your son outta spite. Helios will get his turn next time lol

Technically they're all childhood friends but Vincent and Helios have known each other the longest.

I don't think Helios knowing it early makes a difference, he either finds out through MC in chapter 1 or through his father very soon since the way they're treated raises questions and the consort position being given to MC is bizarre to him.

Helios would defend MC no matter if he knows or doesn't. But during the time he doesn't know Vincent looks quite irrational.

Vincent doesn't hold back his opinions around him but Helios is one of the reasons he stopped being so harsh towards MC.

Not sure what direction I want my MC to go, but recently I’ve been thinking of making her sweet and civil despite everything. Maybe even assist the king if his life was ever in danger.

If Luceris ever questions what her motives are, she’ll straight up tell him she’ll never forgive him and enjoys the thought of him suffering but she believes there are fates worse than death. After all, she considers death more bearable than her current life so far. She wouldn’t want him to reunite with Faraah so easily after everything he did.

So yeah, a lot of projecting on her part lol. Luceris would probs be like “Okay, cool.”

Oh my god 😭 I really thought everyone who isn't new here had read it. I hope the spoilers make it easier to read! Chapter 2 is less in your face angst and more like wow life sucks type of angst so maybe it'll be easier?

Imagine MC finding companionship in the form of a bird that frequently visits their room every now and then. The bird sometimes doesn’t come by for a few days but they’re not worried ‘cause it’s a bird and does what it wants, and it eventually comes back.

Fast forward to another one of those moments but suddenly a servant comes by announcing a gift from Luceris. And lo and behold, it’s your little bird friend…completely taxidermied.

Queue the servant lauding over how ‘kind’ the King is for bestowing such a beautiful gift onto the MC, all the while MC’s trying not to break down/strangle someone.

I would like to say he wouldn't do that but sometimes he surpasses my expectations with his cruelty so who knows
