Hello friend! You are such a good artist and oh my God you MAKE ME SHIP KAKAGAI! Do you have any other Naruto ships you like? Is Nejiten one of them 👀❤️
Hello friend! ❤️
I’m happy I make you ship Kakagai! It’s such a perfect ship, they’re good for each other!
There are lots of Naruto ships I like! NejiTen is definitely cute! Neji acknowledges her strength and they support and help each other! All combinations of Team Gai are cute, the caring dynamic is really equal among the three of them!
In general, there are lots of ships I like to fluctuating amounts in my mind! So many, it would be hard to go through them all! Maybe someday I’ll reblog a meme and go through the ships I like per character.
I wanted to draw a matching pic of Chase pulling Omi's cheeks to go with the sketch I made of Omi tugging Chase's cheeks to look how sharp his teeth were, but I think I've thought of an even better sketch to accompany it
So rest in peace to this discarded sketch, I suppose...
I love all the art I’ve seen of Omi swinging on Chase’s arm. I need to throw my hat in the ring and do that screencap redraw sometime too.
I’ve never really done any, but some screencap redraws of Omi and Chase sound fun in general. I gotta try it. Eventually.
It’s officially my birthday!

Suddenly realized that I’m absolutely in love with the trope of a badass warrior forming an unconventional father figure/mentor bond with a lonely little kid that they make the first move to approach, and the little kid comes to idolize him, and that bond manifests itself physically through the surrogate kid picking up the man’s iconic signature attack because he watches the warrior in action so much.
So this signature that the warrior developed that was originally only known by this one guy, this move that signified his efforts and lone achievements and the strength he’d built for himself, suddenly becomes something that signifies the close bond between him and the first person he ever passed the move on to.
These warriors, these martial artists, who poured their lives, energy, blood, sweat, and tears into honing this skill of their own, and then just gifting it to someone new.
It’s the heartfelt transition from “That’s his signature move” to “that’s their move.” It’s his will and spirit living on through this kid, it’s how much the kid paid attention to him. The shared signature attack becomes almost like a form of platonic love in and of itself.
Does that make sense?
I don’t know if I’m making myself clear, but whatever this is, I love it:
Gai and Lee’s “dynamic entry”
Chase and Omi’s “Repulse the Monkey”
Kaze and Takeshi’s “back attack”
Kojiro and Jisai’s form of Chujo-ryu swordsmanship
I can’t think of any of those attacks without thinking of both those characters and what it means to them.
Also also, this was extra fun because Omi is definitely the only person who could pet dragon Chase’s muzzle without getting his arm bitten off, pfft.
Ah, this evil prince of darkness and his open soft spot for this little monk.
