The final of three scent traces, in the impromptu exhibition in the house we have stayed in here in Salvador. The full length of the staircase balustrade is covered with the same lavender scent as Lina Bo Bardi’s restaurant and the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. As people ascend and descend the stairs between the exhibition spaces the scent transfers into peoples’ palms and is carried away with them.

an echo, the swedish word Anfall, is placed in an enclosed arch and intermittently heard. The silences are long and irregular, here one must be in the right place at the right time, an intersecting of sound, bodies, architecture and movement.
