Check out this series of articles and interviews on Afro-Futurism by Florence Okoye of Afrofutures UK for How We Get To Next.  It was an honor to be in conversation with her for my interview “Sculpting Space for Afro-Futurism as Methodology of Liberation” and to be included in Reynaldo Anderson’s “Afrofuturism 2.0 and the Black Speculative Art Movement: Notes on a Manifesto″ and Okoye’s article on music “Space Is The Place: A Crash Course in the Sounds of Afrofuturism.”
This series is great not only for the incredible range of international practitioners represented but also because of the focus on Africa. Â Often Afro-Futurism is very U.S.A.-focused, and I appreciate learning more about thinkers and makers from the Continent and related to new science and tech.
