Cindy saw the new Inspector walk out of the building. She knew that whatever was going on with him and Lindsay was more than first-day jitters. But she didn’t think it was appropriate to say. He looked haunted in a buried way. She decided to take steps to fix that. If he was working with Lindsay, he was part of the extended family.
She caught him moving fast from the coffee cart. She smiled at him. “Hi, Rizzoli!” She yelled as she raced to catch up. She tilted her head at him as she slowed her pace to match his out of reflex. “You look like Boxer beat you up. I know what that feels like, Wanna go grab a cup of coffee?”
