       it’s a clashing presence, but it’s also not. CELESTIAL FIRE that came from the same creator burns between two vessel-clad angels, both condemned, both wing-clipped and asphalt-burned--and yet they’re still standing. part of Castiel wants to LAUGH at human hardship, the fact that they think that the universe is against them--but they’ve never had their ultimate creator cast them aside, never had the WEIGHT OF STARS burning in their mouths, never had their grace   S T O L E N   FROM THEIR THROATS.

   they’re more ALIKE than they’d like to admit, but there’s no denying their similarities. Castiel shifts on his feet for a moment before he breaks eye contact with the Firstborn.

still, it wasn’t like he could avoid it now, and even he knew that he had to face his mistakes - including failures sooner or later. he just wished he had more time to prepare something more than one words that he knew wouldn’t be taken well. a reason to why he decided the best way forward was to just go with it and hope... he came out of everything alive ( if his existence could even be called such a thing ).
