End-of-the-Year Survey
(It's not one of those multiple choice booklets, I promise!)
Since the year's almost over, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you guys -- my followers (and any casual watchers too!) -- for browsing, liking, and reblogging my posts. If you've ever clicked on that heart button, ever read my fanfics or reviews, ever looked at my art, ever written me a message or spent a few minutes being excited for the Tales series with me: THANK YOU SO MUCH. It means more to me than you probably know.
That said, I'd like to ask what sorts of blog content you'd be interested in seeing more of (or less of!) in the coming year. I can't make any guarantees, but I will definitely read each and every comment, note, etc. and take them into account.
Here are just a few known updates:
Tales of Graces f ~ 2017 Art Calendar Project - Still ongoing! An updated list will be going up next week with current statuses, openings, and adjusted schedule.
Sales Posts - There are a few upcoming box splits! If you've reserved one of the museum badges, they should be arriving in a few weeks at the latest. I'm really sorry for the wait, but the mail system's being slower than I expected what with the winter holidays and all. orz;;
Reviews - There will be some more of these. Whether I continue with written reviews or move on to video reviews is still a bit up in the air, but I do have a few of them planned.
Giveaway - I will be doing a giveaway this Winter where you'll have a chance to win some neat stuff! Chances are I'll be making a bit of a game of it, so look forward to that!! (You all like games, right?)
And speaking of games, there is a "Super Secret" interactive project I'm hoping to start on next year, too. But for now...it's...still a secret...
And, that's about it for the moment, so now I'm opening up the floor to you all.
What would you be interested in seeing on this blog in 2016?
I’M SORRY!!!!!!! I’ll repent!
THAT WAS A HEINOUS SIN MY CHILD, YOU'LL NEED TO PRAY WRITE FIFTY PIECES OF RICHASS FLUFF TO MAKE UP FOR IT
This post was brought to my attention and I felt I couldn't leave it alone for later. So, here's my really quick (if by quick you can call 4 hours quick) translation and image editing of these images talking about Ephinea's structure, particularly the Aquasphere (which is called Aqua Barrier in Japanese).
Couple things to note here, this was apparently made some time before some other things were finalized in the original game (like names and such)? Which is probably why Foselos is just called "Ring" here. I stuck to the terms the original writing used, but it should be obvious that the Ring they're referring to is Foselos.
Nanoparticles, though, I don't have anything for that. It's very likely that if that was the original term, it eventually got changed to Eleth Particles (which would make more sense with Graces world), but since I wasn't sure I just went with what was written. What was actually written was "ナノパーツ" which doesn't translate to anything aside from maybe "nano parts" but that term is never said anywhere in the game, localized or original. And nanoparticles are a thing that actually exist, so I just went with them. But it's very likely that this was early concept art before the concept of eleth was finalized and incorporated into it.
Also I tried to match the way the text was written on the 2nd image with regards to size, so I wasn't able to fit everything I'd written (mainly the handy dandy conversions I did for my fellow Americans). So here's what's written on the 2nd image as I had in my notes:
[Aquasphere] A circle of liquid nanoparticles (Aquasphere) is covering Ephinea. The Ring serves to carry out maintenance of the nanoparticles by taking in the particles from Point A and releasing them from the inner Ring. The nanoparticles on the inside stretch to form a barrier that protects against impacts. <Data List> Distance from the surface to the Aquasphere = 15,000 meters (AKA ~49,212 feet or 9 miles) Thickness of the Aquasphere = 30 meters (AKA ~98 feet) Distance from the surface to the Ring = 1,500 kilometers (AKA 932 miles) <The View From the Surface> The Aquasphere can't be seen very well as it's not that visible and only the interior of the Ring can slightly be seen. Fodra can't be seen at all.
