A 42-year-old Indian national, Kolathu James Leo, has been formally charged in Singapore after allegedly causing a mid-air disturbance aboard a Scoot flight from Sydney to Singapore on February 27. According to The Straits Times, the charges include:

➡️ Criminal intimidation – Threatening to kill a crew member ➡️ Use of criminal force – Physically grabbing a flight attendant ➡️ Intoxication on board – Disrupting order and safety during the flight

🔴 Incident Details: Mid-Flight Chaos and Restraint

According to reports, Leo displayed aggressive and erratic behavior, which forced the cabin crew to restrain him for the remainder of the journey. Allegations include:

✈️ Shouting mid-flight under the influence of alcohol ✈️ Attempting to detach a seat pocket ✈️ Hitting the seat in front of him ✈️ Grabbing a flight attendant’s wrist when approached

⚠️ Leo reportedly calmed down only after the crew warned that the flight would turn back to Australia if his behavior persisted.

Upon landing at Changi Airport, Leo was arrested by Singapore's Airport Police Division. His plea hearing is set for April 22. If convicted, he faces:
