Alaska Airlines passengers have been stuck trying to get from Boston to LA on #flight1367 since 6pm last night. In the course of that time, the flight took off nearly an hour and a half late as passengers were waiting on plane and told there were baggage and incorrect manifest problems, it was then emergency landed in NY en route to LA due to a strange odor inflight reported by passengers and staff. Passengers were left for nearly 7 hours at Buffalo airport overnight without updates or food as all restaurants and stores were closed and no one was “allowed” to leave the airport while firemen inspected plane outside. They were told to “buy yogurt from the vending machines, which accepted credit cards” No one was offered hotel vouchers and when calling to book with other airlines through Alaska, passengers were told it was not possible due to “checked luggage” even if no luggage had in fact been checked as it seems a computer glitch was reflecting this incorrectly. Flight includes toddlers, infants and at least 3 cats and 1 dog. Passengers are understandably extremely upset as show in this video. Passengers now stuck on-plane at Boston airport for an hour and counting. The pilot directed us to “stop using our cell phones” as it allegedly interferes with them getting ahold of Alaska Airlines and then told later it was due to communication center down.
