I know this is probably not what you wanted it, but it came to me and I starting writing and here it is.

To pull you back to me. 

Liam could at admit that at times he could be a little over protective. It was just in his nature to protect all the boys from harms way-like a little voice whispering into the shell of his ear to protect. Liam could also admit that okay he was over protective to a whole new level when it came to Zayn. His Zayn who he’d do anything to keep safe. He knew at times it could be annoying, and he wasn’t oblivious to the way Zayn would roll his eyes every time Liam would so much as make a comment. The way that Zayn would sometimes smoke an extra cigarette just to piss him off.

That particular night Zayn was on the balcony having a smoke, which he always did after they had sex. If Liam closed his eyes he can still feel the snap of Zayn’s hips as the dark skinned boy thrusted deep inside of him. Hitting that one spot that always left Liam a whimpering mess, clinging to the bed sheets so hard they might just tear from the force. Liam groaned than, kicking the thick blankets off himself and padding over to the Balcony door with bare feet. He slid the door open, feeling the cold breeze against his bare arms.  

"You shouldn’t be leaning over the railing" Liam warned, and smiled warmly when Zayn turns to face him, cigarette dangling from his lips.

"Really? That’s rich coming from the boy who stood on the ledge of a building with a thousand foot drop bladdered out of his mind" Liam knows he teasing of course, but their’s a hint of seriousness hidden between the lines.

Liam sighed and shuffles over, wrapping his arms around Zayn’s waist kissing the curve of his shoulder. “How many times do I have to apologize for that before you believe me when I say I’m sorry?” Liam asked.

"Don’t need an apology" Zayn turned around in Liam’s arms "just never pull a stunt like that again and consider yourself forgiven" he muttered. Liam watched as Zayn leaned over the railing pushing his body against the rails as far as he can and Liam tightens his hold around Zayn’s waist to the point where he’s sure they’ll be bruises tomorrow. Zayn than dropped the cigarette, it falls all the way down, so many stories until it fades out of view very quickly.

"Stop being over protective of me for a moment and be protective of yourself" Zayn tells him, and breaks away from Liam’s arms "I love how protective of me you are, how safe I feel when I’m around you. I know you’ll take care of me" Liam smiled at Zayn’s words "but if you ever do something as stupid and reckless again? I’ll push you over the edge myself" Zayn warned.
