Happy Valentine’s Day 💝
Selfship ask: How was your first Valentine's Day with Levi?
Hello Val, dearest <3 Happy belated valentine's day 💘 Thank you for stopping by, I've missed you lots! How have you been?
To answer your question, it was a quiet day for both of us. Both of us aren't really big on the holiday, so it's more about spending time together than it is grand gestures.
For our first V-Day together, I bought Levi a refill of his favorite tea. Levi bought me some flowers from my favorite flower shop down the road (an assortment of wildflowers), and cooked us dinner. Then we watched a collection of horror movies (on valentine's day, yes xD). It was a very cozy date.
(And the next day - I made sure to stock up on plenty of discounted chocolate, too ;p)
hey flo. <3 since you are into the self-ship, I'm wondering if you had a story for yourself and how you and Levi become a couple in AOt. If so I'd love to hear about that, and I think your friends would too. <3
Oh hello, sweet anon 🥺 You're the first one to ask me a self-ship related-ask, so you got me feeling all kind of things here. I'd love to ramble about my self-ship with Levi.
My self-ship takes place in the modern world.
Levi and I met through common friends in our mid 20s, and our friend group was very much a staple in the formation of the relationship. That said, it took time before anything happened between us - we're both the type of people to prefer to take things slow, and we also both fall somewhere on the ace spectrum (my personal headcanon for Levi), which means we might just not be predisposed to feel attraction often, and to question when we do feel it.
So very much a friends-to-lovers-slow-burn arc, heh :')
And so, for two years, life happened, with all the stressors and excitement that comes with your 20s - dinners with friends after work, week-ends spent watching movies and playing board games. Trips to the cinema, karaoke, theater, aquariums. Complaining about bad dates. Him meeting my cat, Zeke (hehe), who he loves to tease. Me meeting his mother and uncle. Cooking together. Long walks in nature. Him seeing me cry for the first time. Becoming more familiar with pushing the boundary of personal space, slowly - a touch of a hand there, a comforting squeeze of a shoulder there, a teasing poke in the ribs. Our group of friends making fun of our close proximity. Us shrugging it off - finding it easier to ignore the signs than to acknowledge them. Long nights of talking about everything and nothing at all, when everyone else was fast asleep already. Me helping him to feel more comfortable with expressing himself.
Somewhere in between all of this, I realized my feelings for Levi were something more.
