The gathering place is empty. 

No one can see it. 

A figure that sits in front of the tall stones, their gaze unblinking at they stare at the moon with a pondering question in their head. 

Why? 

Why am I still here? Will I be lost forever? Do I have to be invisible forever? 

So many questions.. but the moon holds no answers. 

The stars are gone. The sky is empty.

What was done wrong? Could it have been avoided? The stars are gone. Proof that what was said in fearful tones turned out to be true. That with the souls seen, the stars must of gone with them. No one can see the lack of stars though.. that much can be inferred. 

Like the lack of stars, no one can see this faded figure. 

No one can see her. No one can see Lightpaw.

She remembers standing over her own corpse. Blood pooling around her like a river overflowing after a hard rain. How her siblings and other cats came to her rescue, but were to late to save her from the cruel fate of death. Larkshine.. she grieved more than anyone, she grieved like a mother. She remembers screaming at Larkshine, at everyone- 

"I'm right here! I'm here! Hello? Please- someone look at me- I don't understand! I'̶M̴ ̶H̶E̷R̸E̸" 

Sobbing as she desperately tried to get someone to see her. Someone to look at her because she was right there and that body wasn't her, it had to be a bad dream. 

It wasn't a dream. She died.

..did Pa- Wiltedstar grieve?

It was hard to tell. She turned a blind eye to his lack of interest for so long.. but it was unclear if cared for her at all. Because Lightpaw was there when he rolled over and did nothing while Infernopaw and Fallowmist tried to get him to move. She was there when they held her own vigil, how she curled up beside Larkshine and her brothers next to her own body. 

She was there to see Smolderpaw dragged into camp. She's always been there, because where else would she go? 

Lightpaw tried finding others. Jaythroat, Elmskip, Smolderpaw, even Basilsong. Lightpaw searched for them. She searched for someone to talk to because every day she spent pretending to be apart of her brothers conversations was eating at her mind. 

No one was found.

I'm alone. 

Looking up at the empty sky now, she wonders if the moon might disappear. If she'll end up forgetting what the stars look like, and if the moon were to vanish to, that she may forget its glow as well. 

She came to the gathering to hear about the other clans. With her newfound... ghostliness, nobody can say no to her going. She couldn't bring her new friend that she made up, Mr Acorn, because she can't pick things up. She'll have to tell them all about the gathering tomorrow. 

In this silent clearing where not a soul can hear her, Lightpaw lets out the sobs she refuses to let go in camp. Even if no one else can see her... it feels bad to let her bad side seep through. A sad, bad side that she never acknowledged while alive. ..and maybe if she cries and asks politely enough to the full moon, a God might save her from this emptiness. Trying to put a happy spin on this situation she's been in since death has been getting so much harder to do. 

"-I d- don't mind watching over them but... not like this, please don't make me be alone."
