                                WILD && BEAUTIFUL 

This new apartment they’d just moved into was in a slightly nicer area of town. How the fuck Blue managed to get them this place was a fucking miracle but he wouldn’t complain. The apartment was still a dump –– not well cared for and while it was in a good area, it was still a beat up, shitty studio apartment. 

Just down the street from them was a flower shop. Normally Ash would just smoke inside the apartment but Blue was starting to get on his nerves so he made his way down the street to smoke. It was one of the rare occasions that Ash actually glamoured! His horrible scars on his skin and his broken horns were no longer there. Instead, he looked handsome, although tired. 

Across the street he hears some chatter about a delivery gone wrong. A woman complaining, a man being rude. He rolls his eyes and ignores it in favour of his cigarette. But the delivery man spots him and waves him down. Ash ignores him despite staring right at him –– clearly uncaring. 

“Hey! Guy, can you give me a hand?”

“No.” Ash says back, voice deep beyond belief. 

“Common man I’ll give you 50 bucks, just help me out here.” The delivery man says again. Ash sighs out his cigarette smoke from his nose and holds it between his lips as he walks over. The delivery man instructs him to take a crate of... What the fuck was this stuff? Dirt? Pots? He didn’t know. Ash picks them up and begrudgingly takes both crates at a time, placing one under each arm. The delivery man seems impressed and hands Ash a delivery slip. 

“Hey just give this to the girl when you go in there! See ya pal, thanks.”

“What?” Ash stares blankly as the man leaves and drives off, leaving him with the delivery and a slip of paper with an invoice on it. Behind it is 50 bucks. He grunts, but at least he made some cash. 

With a sour expression on his face he walks into the shop, dressed in ripped black jeans, a tattered sweater and combat boots. He still has his cigarette between his lips as he walks in and slams the two crates down on the front table where a woman is standing behind it. 

Oh my God, that’s such an interesting question, thanks for sending this in. 

Now, the idea of her being human from the start or becoming human create two different answers, as becoming human involves a loss of power and means that she has the same backstory and same Adam/Eden experiences, whereas being born human means she has none of that. So, I’m gonna answer both. 

The first, where she is born human. 

Lilith, born human, having an actual childhood, and a teenagedom and developing with parents and schooling and other formative things would make a huge difference to the Lilith we see in the show (as she has no benefit of such development periods or environments. She’d also have made actual friends. Childhood friends. That’s a big part of development that she’s never had). Her core personality points would remain the same-- she would still be fiercely independent, very tied to her identity as a woman, ambitious and very aware of her own identity and reluctant to be tied down to society’s ideals of marriage and children. But the difference would be that she would not have the same defence walls up, she would be much more willing to trust, she’d place less importance on self-preservation (as she would have no experiences that would cause that attitude) and she wouldn’t be prone to lash out violently or be instinctively suspicious. She’d be softer a person, even though she’d still be a tough cookie. 

As for where she would go in life, I imagine Lilith as a human would tend to live the single, independent life. Tying herself into a long term living-together relationship would be something she would be very disinclined to, and it would take a lot, a very special person for her to make an exception to that rule. She’d be independent, single, very well-read and, as Lilith is tied to wilderness, she would live somewhere that borders onto wild areas, she wouldn’t be too far from somewhere green. As for work, considering we saw how much she thrived at Baxter High, I imagine she would go into that (as it bounces off her intelligence, her desire to have people who follow her and look up to her as students do with good teachers, people hang off her every word etc) with the ambition to be Principal of a very good school with her pushing for lots of regime changes and pushing for gender equality. Lilith would definitely be one who attended protests and rallies for equality. 

Now the one where she becomes human

This is very different, because this Lilith has been through all this suffering has felt being powerless, and being a witch, being the Mother of Demons, being Queen of Hell, is extremely important to her as they’re all the things that gave her power, agency, freedom and meant she couldn’t be dragged back to Eden, that she didn’t have to submit to Adam. Lilith has always had thousands of years of abuse, of betrayal, of being alone, of being dismissed and oppressed, so for her having all this power and not being human is an intrinisic part of who she is and hyper important so to lose that and become human would be a tragedy for her. 

Lilith would feel she’d had a loss of power, that she was trapped, bound once again, it would feel akin to be returned to Eden, the last time she was essentially human. She would not be happy. But being human, being rid of all other parts of her, would also mean a dam of otherwise repressed emotions would break and she’d have to be dealing with suddenly feeling things on a very intense, human level. 

To be honest, she’d probably throw a lot of energy to undoing what had happened and becoming a witch/demoness again, but if that was out of the question and she had no choice but to live that life as a human, she would search for a way to be in power in a different way. She’d want to run something, be a boss, be in charge, have people who follow her lead, who are influenced by her commands and suggestions etc. I mean if it’s a world where Adam wasn’t killed, she’d like to travel the world with him, being respected and seeing the world through new, human eyes, but in a world where it’s post-murder, then I imagine her throwing herself into causes for women, trans and gender equality because that’s generally her jam throughout time, so that wouldn’t fade as a human.

And I think through all this, through living as human among humans, it would start to soften her a little, she’d start to have experiences that aren’t negative, things that would improve her outlook, she would grow beyond the personality that has developed in direct relation to Hell, Lucifer, the False God etc.

Elena always wanted to be not only a wife but also a mother. Even when she was a teenager she always had a soft spot for children. Though neither of her pregnancies were easy, when she were pregnant she were thrilled. Nervous she might not do this whole mum thing right but thrilled none the less.

While she does care for each of her children differently, Elena does love all of them equally. Although most parents have a favourite child, Elena does not. She buys something for one, she automatically buys them all something. She plans to take one somewhere, she automatically makes it a family trip. No one gets left out of anything.

As a mother, Elena is very caring, understanding, very loving, and nurturing.  She’s A LOT like how her mother was. Children are delicate. No mater how old they are. Everyday is a learning experience for them and learn is what she allows them to do. Therefore when they make mistakes, she doesn’t get angry. She does not fuss nor yell.  She allows them to learn from it. Even when they do test her.

Elena NEVER spanks her children. She never lays a hand on them. She does not believe in that. For instance when Natalie gets cranky and begins to act out, she lets her have her moment then later sits her down and expresses how much she didn’t appreciate it. And it works. Natalie apologizes and everything is well after.

When it comes to her relationship with her children, again, she is generally the same with them all. The only thing that changes is the care she gives them just due to their age. When it comes to Lokelani and Cassidy, she’s not going to care for them how she does the little ones. However, she will still smoother them with the same amount of love. With her children, Elena is very fun loving. She is also quite laid back. Around the house there are not many rules besides the basics. She is not a strict parent. But she’s not a doormat either and her children know this.

Cassidy and Lokelani automatically has more freedom then the younger ones do. However, with that freedom, Elena checks on them every half hour. They are nearly adults therefore Elena does give them the appropriate space while keeping that eye on them and still protecting them. They are her young and knowing how cold the world is, she refuses to subject them to it.

The younger ones she naturally keeps a closer eye on, like very close. Often, it may seem as if she gives Natalie and Nessa more attention but that is not the case. They are young, and not wanting to bother Margaret or Katherine with them when it’s unnecessary, she gives them that extra attention instead of having anyone else do it for her.  Which is why she doesn’t have nannies or any staff  like that.
