#fleet chat

Two days ago a corp mate posted a link to a rather distasteful image in fleet chat. It's annoying, but it happens all the time and I know whose links I should not click. To his credit, he added a warning not to click the link "if you have a weak stomach". That should give plenty of indication.

This time we had coalition mates in fleet with us, and apparently someone took offense to the image. That's fine, send a complaint to the FC or the alliance CEO of the person who posted the image, the person will be warned and penalized if necessary.

But no, this person decides to report it to CCP, resulting in CCP banning not only my corp mates main character and main account, but all his other accounts, indefinitely. And of course there is no recourse for him. Years of training, hundreds of euros in GTCs, billions of ISK earned, all taken away because of one easily offended carebear bitch or a troll.

I would at least have some understanding of CCP's reaction if it was posted in local, but this was in fleet chat on a private roam. Participants are free to leave at any point, it was not a CTA or anything, just a casual roam.

What if someone posts boobies in fleet and there's a feminist or a gay guy in fleet who is offended and reports it to CCP? Where's the limit to what is acceptable and what is not?

This is fucking disgraceful. I'm beginning to question whether I want to play this game if CCP can just take all of my in-game stuff away at a whim for one little mistake.
