"Monument". // I had been chewing over this piece for a long time and knew the occasion of @thinkspace_art's Fifteenth(!) Anniversary Show was the moment to bring it to light. I think these days of darkness, literal war and fire, bring into sharp relief the burdens we're carrying over these miles, in and on our bodies. I think we're brave and sad and angry and, hopefully, managing to put one foot in front of the other. Sometimes, maybe, we need a sin-eater before we're dead. (You know that's what dogs are for, right?) // Look: everything's an accretion. There's New York here, and Berlin, and even a very hidden joke with a bit of Hamburg.
