i thrifted this rad 90s flatsy doll today new in the package! i will definitely be opening her bc i want to see if her βclip her onto anything!β feature means i could wear her as a fun accessory. π
i LOVE the β90s does 60sβ daisy motif on the packaging - itβs a fun callback to the original 1969 flatsy! this is the first flatsy in my collection and iβve always wanted one. vintage dolls with fun gimmicks are some of my favorites!
A lil sheet of my iz character flatsy. Sheβs probably the closest thing Mothman has to a friend at the start even if they donβt see eachother too often.
Originally just a background character in my comic but might appear more often, I got attached to her design and personality and thatβs not easy for me to let go.
EXCELLENT bundle of dolls I got off of eBay
Flatsy, topper dawn, and a rock flowers doll! Also came with a bunch of clothes for flatsy and the rock flowers record along with the stand that attaches to it

I've had a lot of fun ever since I learned how to properly border in Photoshop, so I decided a colored attempt with Flatsy. ^_^
I'm 6 inches into basting "Vincent", and my fingers are already sore. I knew this would be a real stinker to push a needle through, between the many layers of batiks and the tacky glue. Eventually I'll get my Juki mounted on rails and turn her into a true longarm. Until then, I'll continue basting using Sharon Schamber's method. It's definitely the best method for basting I've ever used. I'm using a 3 inch doll needle to make this big herringbone stitch, which is so far proving to be strong enough to stab through all the layers and come back up through the top. Bluebelle isn't there just because I like Flatsy dolls (though I do), but she makes a great spacer to help keep my stitches consistent. Six inches works out to a measley 13% of my quilt top. Hope my fingers hold out!
