Domestic trade strengthens after extended flat phase
Ahmedabad SBS LG501 trading shifted noticeably higher this week following an extended period of stable pricing across the domestic market. Indian SBS LG501 prices increased to Rs 239/kg on 26 May from Rs 215/kg a week earlier, marking the strongest level seen during the available trading period. The latest move followed several sessions of unchanged daily values and lifted the market back toward recent highs after spending much of May in a narrow range.
The domestic structure had previously remained compressed, with repeated trading near Rs 215/kg despite earlier fluctuations during April. Indian SBS LG501 prices are now Rs 13/kg higher than levels seen one month ago around Rs 226/kg. At the same time, SBS LG501 prices in India remain above the lower trading zone near Rs 184/kg recorded earlier in the tracked period. Compared with the fortnight view, current domestic values are also Rs 9/kg above the Rs 230/kg area seen around mid-May.
