9. Our muses have to share a bed for some reason.
It had been far too long since Second Lieutenant Jean Havoc had slept on much more than a blanket on a floor. He and the rest of Mustangâs team had been on the move for a few weeks, trying to get to the bottom of a fraud case in which people took on the identity of military members, attacking comrades for their uniform, ect, and that included a lot of stake outs. Theyâd had to chase this group of criminals as far as the border of Xing and finally, finally, they had completed their mission. Truthfully, Havoc didnât even know why the fuhrer had put them to this job, but there wasnât room to think much on that now with how damn exhausted he was.Â
Having all checked into a small inn, there were limited rooms and limited beds. Jean had to share the room with his superior, Roy Mustang, which was fine, especially while the rest of the team had already unpacked in their rooms and went off to celebrate. (Breda and Falman would surely get into trouble, dragging in Fuery for the ride, so Hawkeye had gone with them while Mustang decided to catch up on sleep instead.)
Now, as they walked up to the room, they opened the door to what was supposed to be two beds, finding only one. They both looked at each other and typically, this could mean the two bickering over who would get the bed, but they were just too exhausted. Roy closed the door, set down his own things, took off his shirt, boots and pants and crawled into the bed.
âGuess weâre bunking together, Havoc.â He patted the bed, winked jokingly at Jean and then promptly turned his back to the blonde and boy, was Jean happy for that. He knew his superior was only teasing with his wink, but a harsh red spread over the smokerâs cheeks. Quietly, he undressed down to just boxers as well before getting into the bed as well, careful to leave as much space as he could. Not that it was much, for this was definitely a bed made for close lovers..
