He always appreciated the quieter folks, and upon seeing the erune, the fighter would dip his head in greeting, pausing before thinking to open his mouth to greet the other.
“Hey. You’re an observant type, aren’t you? Can you tell me where I can find my lodging in this damn place?”
❝ Eustace? ❞ she mutters below her breath. there is no mistaking erune’s fluffy ears, and the ones she spies are definitely ones she recognizes. she often wondered why some erune have ears to match their hair color, and some don’t---most of the ones she knows don’t seem the type to dye their hair. but that is not important---a wave of relief washes over her mind.
❝ Ah, it is you! ❞ running up to match his pace, she manages a tug on his sleeve before stepping before his presence. ❝ There’s something I need to ask you... um... ❞ a pause accompanied by a finger scratching her cheek. ❝ I just got here, and... well, I’m not sure what to do to start off this new life. ❞ it’s true she is confused, but goodness---is she happy to find someone with a level head and a calm personality. she figures if anyone can help her out without getting frustrated, it’s someone from the society.

No one really knows how long the pair just sat there eating their curds and whey. An hour? Two hours? The entirety of the day? Kogitsunemaru is no stranger to withdrawn individuals. After all, his master was the epitome of what it means to be a hermit. Listening. Observing. Nothing escapes his attention as this time spent in their uninterrupted peace was a productive one. He feels as if he’s grown to understand his company.
“We should have tea and treats for our next visit. I’ve quite enjoyed my time, didn’t you?”
