#flagler eats

Friends Cafe’ located in Flagler Beach, FL This is my second visit and once again, not disappointed. I am going to create a rating system to better review my places but for now, here is a rough draft: Atmosphere: 5 star. Old, vintage, eclectic, ‘dive’ feel but filled with all the locals and old timers. My favorite-‘58 Belle Air sat outside. Menu Options: 5 star. Simple basics, easy to read and find exactly the right combination to fill your belly’s Staff: 5 star. They work as if they are going out of business and that is a good thing! They move fast, always maintaining eye contact and awareness of each table. My coffee cup was never less than half filled, and it was a full morning. Food: Presentation: 4 star. Not a criticism, just the 2 slices of bacon looked lonely on my plate. I’d prefer 3 strips or throw a tomato on there but I didn’t order it so my fault. Quality/Taste: 4 star. simple basics. Eggs over medium cooked to perfection as they were my first visit. Crispy bacon. French Toast was a little on soggy side but again, that is a “normal” way to make it. I could and will order a little extra done next time so bread doesn’t get too soggy as soon as I pile on the syrup and butter!

Love my new home and this will be a go to for some time to come. Doesn’t hurt they are Eagles fans 😉
