When I was a teenager, I bought this necklace in Claire’s Accessories. It was bizarrely good quality for a Claire’s, metal alloy rather than plastic, and pretty decent craftsmanship.

I never wore it, not once. But I held on to it for years and years, because I loved it so much, and I had visions of one day needing an overstated, gunmetal grey, multi-chain, rhinestoned crucifix. To go with, I dunno, a big floucy gothic vampire prom dress or something.

Anyway, in a recent clear-out, after about two decades of it knocking around my bedroom, I threw it out…. Or so I thought!

When I saw Mingi in that necklace in the Dinero vid - you know the one - I was kicking myself, because that cross would have been perfect to make a replica with. So, on the off chance, I had a hunt through my jewellery. And it turns out that I had ripped the cross off and just chucked the rest of the necklace away. I’d obviously liked the cross too much to bin it!
