BONGSOON     :          stop     talking     to     my     mother     .          

SHE'S     IN     THE     MIDDLE     OF     HIS     OFFICE     .               for     such     a     small     girl     she's     taking     up     a     decent     amount     of     room     :     perched     in     a     chair     &&     lazily     spinning     with     little     pushes     of     her     toes     against     the     floor     .               it's     clear     ,     she's     made     herself     at     home     despite     it     being     work     hours     for     both     of     them     .          

BONGSOON     :          it's     giving     her     ideas     .          

SHE     :     SPRAWLED     UPON     SOFA     .               it     is     ,     quite     clearly     ,     his     side     of     their     living     quarters     -----     full     of     likely     priceless     objects     &&     so     much     space     that     her     little     apartment     ,     mere     feet     away     ,     seems     more     like     over-sized     closet     .               (               she     likes     this     side     /     likes     the     act     of     existing     in     it     like     it's     some     sort     of     taboo     .               )               she's     close     to     him     ,     top     of     head     just     shy     of     brushing     against     his     thigh     as     chin     lifts     just     enough     to     look     at     him     without     causing     eye     strain     .          

DONGKYUNG     ,     swallowing     a     mouthful     of     chip     :          you've     been     reading     that     same     page     for     half     an     hour     ,     you     know     .               

he hasn’t seen her yet, and for that, she’s thankful. she should’ve been excited to have reunited with a childhood friend, but being reminded of her childhood nickname, and having to explain that to her friends was embarrassing. so far, the boy had been frustrating. so here she was, trying her best to sneak past him without him noticing.   “ don’t see me. don’t see me. ”

            “ ah, kyo-kun ! ”     both her expression and her tone brightens at the sight of the boy, and she wipes her hands on her apron as she eagerly rushes to greet him.     “ welcome home ! ”     she flashes him a smile as she tries to ignore the way her heart is beating just a little bit faster.      “ is there anything you’d like for dinner? yuki-kun and shigure-san are both out, so it looks like it will be just us tonight. ”

     sophie  was   LATE .  class  had  already  started ,  yet  there  she  was ,  still  rushing  in  hopes  of  reaching  class  faster ;  maybe  then  she  wouldn’t  be  scolded  as  much  by  her  teacher .  her  jeans ,  as  usual ,  were  covered  in  random  splotches  and  streaks  of  paint  in  all  different  colors ,  and  her  hair  had  been  pulled  back  into  a  messy  ponytail  that  looked  as  if  it  were  about  to  come  undone .  in  fact ,  sophie  had  been  in  such  a  rush ,  that  she  hadn’t  even  glanced  in  the  mirror  on  her  way  out ,  which  meant  she  was  completely  unaware  that  she  had  paint  on  her   FACE ,  as  well .  she  was  so  caught  up  in  her  thoughts  that  she  didn’t  realize  she  was  heading  straight  for  someone           until  she  ran  into  them ,  sending  them  both  tumbling  to  the  ground .       “ i’m  so  sorry , ”       she  apologized ,  trying  to  catch  her  breath .      “ i’m  super  late ,  and  i  wasn’t  paying  attention . ”
