Okay one more: Firestorm!

When Jason Rusch manifests the same superpowers Ronnie Raymond, aka the captain of the football team, Jason’s totally not crush, the biggest jerk in school, and the youngest person to manifest nuclear powers ever, he knows one thing for sure: he’s completely, totally screwed. On Earth-389, people in America who manifest powers have until they turn eighteen to sign on to be the US government’s soldiers/propaganda machines. He couldn’t have predicted exactly how fucked, though, because now he and Ronnie (and their chemistry teacher, Mr. Stein) are on the run from the US government, a Russian powerhouse, and the United League themselves.

At least he has a semi-boyfriend now. That’s pretty cool. Maybe if people stopped trying to kill them, they’d actually be able to sit down and talk about it.

At least the suit isn't pulling pieces from Laurel's, which makes me happy. By not incorporating any part of the previous suits, it plainly sets itself outside of the Canary/Black Canary legacy.

Honestly, the whole thing makes me happy. This “original character” with a comic book name slapped on them who was a replacement for Laurel Lance (the real black canary) and who erased Dinah Drake (Alex Kingston) received such a horrible suit to be called “Black Canary” in the field. It just makes me dismiss this whole thing even more than I was already trying to do. Meanwhile, Black Siren’s out here looking like she walked out the pages of a comic book as the Black Canary. I’m so happy. Arrow continues to accidentally please me.

I just really don't understand the logic of "we fully explored Laurel and Oliver in season one", and we're STILL exploring Oliver and Felicity after a failed engagement and the murder of Felicity's boyfriend by Oliver. On the plus side, though, if MG is swayed by fans, that's gotta mean good things for Black Siren.

Yeah, it’s got me baffled, too. They explored Oliver/Felicity to the fullest with everything they did in Season 4. That relationship has burned out. Laurel and Oliver got together in the last two episodes of the first season, and suddenly their story was done? It’s bullshit.

I feel like the "you thought you could replace me" line COULD also be a hint to redemption, maybe, if Siren became protective of the title and the life of the E-1 Laurel. But I fear it'll be more like Tina beats Siren in season 6, thus "earning" the title.

Oh no. According to ARROW, Tina just earned the title in this episode. She hasn’t been called Black Canary ever and she was just called it by Quentin, so she doesn’t have to beat anyone to “earn it.” I mean, personally this character didn’t earn it. Look at what Laurel had to go through to become Black Canary. This chick’s done nothing. She is not Black Canary. But the writers feel they’ve earned it enough to have Quentin refer to her as Black Canary. At least that squashes the “has to defeat Siren to become BC” theories.

I loved that line in the episode. I know some people are questioning the logic of it all, but it’s just a fun line and a fun moment. She owned Tuna Sub’s ass. It was absolutely glorious.

I'm am so down for Siren working with Arty and building a sort of evil Team Arrow and that ultimately leading to a redemption for her character just saying

I would love to find out the only reason why Evelyn betrayed the team was because she looks up to Black Canary and strongly believes that E2 Laurel and E1 Laurel are one in the same. I want everything for Evelyn because she’s an orphan, but I hate the writers for giving her the name of Artemis - they both deserve their own identity. All I know is Black Siren holds true to her word, so…
