Dear Mrs. Dilaurentis-Fields,
My name is Eleanor Fitzgerald. I’m a sophomore at Hollis College. I was looking for volunteer opportunities in the area when I stumbled across your high school. My older brother, Ezra, used to work at the school, so I thought it would be a good place to start. The principal said that you would be a good person to talk to about the possibility of being a teaching assistant. I was a tutor all throughout my four years at Margaret Willard School for Girls in New York. I also tutored at my last university before transfering to Hollis. I really enjoy helping students, and think I would be a great addition to your classroom. I hope you will consider meeting with me.
Thank you for your time!

Dear Ms. Eleanor Fitzgerald,
I have reviewed your email and taken the time to speak to both the principal and your brother. I could use some help with my senior English class three days out of the week. If that is something that would interest you we could schedule a meeting so I can determine if you would be a good fit. I can’t promise you it will be easy, but it will be rewarding if you truly have a passion for helping students. If you are still interested, I am available to meet Monday during my prep period which is from 1:15 pm to 2:00 pm or after school from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Please respond with the time that would work best for you.
Thank you,
Alison Dilaurentis-Fields English Teacher Rosewood Highschool
