Through First Mile, this plastic is sorted, cleaned, shredded, and turned into yarn that makes products with purpose. The pieces in this collection are made from post-consumer plastic collected in Taiwan.

LVL-UP - $90

Let’s LVL-UP for a better future. These shoes regenerate the training space with elevated design created with yarn made from recycled plastic. The shoelaces as well as the purple and blue materials are 100% recycled poly while the light blue is 64%. These pieces challenge standards and places you on a pedestal all your own. With LQDCELL stable cushioning technology and a leveled midsole that boosts your look, there’s nowhere to go but all the way up.

PUMA utilizes yarn made from recycled plastic to create shoelaces, lining, and a footbed cover that are 100% recycled poly and lavender materials that are 64%. The overall construction combines stability and functionality with PUMA’s iconic design DNA. With a 4mm drop and a wide toe box, FUSE gives you a stable stance while the internal midsole provides shock absorption for heavily weighted workouts. To kick it up a notch, a TPU heel clip offers a boost of support and durable PUMAGRIP provides all-purpose traction for maximum grip during quick agility movements. The PUMA x First Mile training collection drops on PUMA.com and PUMA stores on April 6 with a price ranging from $23 – $110. 

Today, PUMA is launching its first sustainable activewear line co-created with First Mile.

The debut PUMA x FIRST MILE collection consists of performance apparel and footwear for both men and women and is made from recycled yarn that is manufactured from plastic bottles. Designed for maximum performance during any workout, all apparel is made of at least 83% to 100% sustainable yarn sourced from First Mile. All PUMA x FIRST MILE product made for 2020 will divert over 40 tons of plastic waste from landfills and oceans, translating to roughly 1.9+ million plastic bottles being reused.

Beyond turning plastic into product, the collection is rooted in social impact and human connection. First Mile is a people-focused network that strengthens micro-economies in Haiti, Honduras, and Taiwan by collecting plastic bottles to create sustainable jobs and reduce environmental waste. Each bottle is sorted, cleaned, shredded, and turned into yarn that makes products with purpose.

Key items from the collection include performance tees, leggings, and PUMA’s signature LQD CELL footwear styles with stable cushioning.

Retailing for $40 - $110, the 25-piece collection will be available on PUMA.com, PUMA stores, and select retailers worldwide starting February 21st.
