In 1954, on this exact day, The Fellowship of the Ring, the first part of The Lord of the Rings, was published for the first time by George Allen & Unwin, and the rest is history. I read it for the first time around the same time the movies were about to be released, in 2001, and I'll continue to revisit these beloved characters and wonderful places until the day that I die.

Coming from such a restrictive and mind controlling background, writing a prose piece this brutally honest has been such an incredible and liberating experience.

Faintly breathing, without making a sound, violent men scream, desperately to be let out.

The whispers, of the criminally insane, are better left locked away. With the keys to this city, sinister are the eyes, that watch over me.

In here time ticks by, with silent predators, of the untainted mind.

I stand perfectly composed, at their side, evil has a rather, tantalizing disguise.

Reaching out in the dark, in case God doesn’t show, we pray you remember, where you are.

I am again asking you to purchase or consider purchasing this collection of scary, horror, and twisted stories.

I have a good friend who has written several pieces in here, and my first published short story, “Samhein” is in the paperback version.
