I HAVENT EVEN POSTED ANYTHING WHO ARE YOU UNFOLLOW ME
Ok since a certain moot is willing to read me ramble about Hamilton songs I will.
I'll cover one song at a time so it's a better read, and let me start with the song that I think should have been in the included.
First Burn!
First burn, for those that don't know, was a the original version of burn that didn'take it into the musical. But it's featured in the hamildrops album
What makes this track better than the one that got put into the musical is just how vicious it is!
Burn is the voice and words of a woman torn apart by what her husband has done and is in the throws of grief and anguish.
First burn, in contrast, is that same woman setting course on burning her husband's only true love, his legacy, down.
Where burn is sung by Eliza Hamilton, first burn is sung by Eliza Schuyler. This is Angelica's sister, not Hamilton's wife singing. She is vicious here and makes it a point to call out every flaw Hamilton has while also showing him how much he's hurt his family.
It's made even better by the fact it is sung by every actress that has played Eliza ever by that point, so in many ways, it is every version of Eliza confronting Hamilton at once: The hurt wife, the vengeful scorned woman, the disgraced noble, and the mother that must care for her besmirched children.
If burn is what Eliza said to Hamilton, then first burn is what he dreamed of when he was sleeping in his office.
First burn also has some of my favorite animatics. Specifically the ones of emirichu and razephyr, both of whom captured a different perspective of the song.
Razephyr captured the anger and venom that Eliza has as well as her intense sadness that it's her husband, the love of her life, that she has to direct these feelings too.
Meanwhile, emirichu's version features the different versions of Eliza confronting Hamilton in a dream as he sleeps alone and it's, oh it's perfect!
Burn is a wonderful, but first burn will always be my favorite official version!
I say official, as there are a few mashups of first burn and burn and those take what are wonderful and haunting songs and makes them even better. Like a beautiful nightmare Hamilton is dreaming and also wakes up too.
Ok. Well that's one done. Next up: you'll be back! Or, king George's yandere song about America.
I can't edit but imagine First Burn to The Kiva 1986 cast. Yuri is Eliza, Otoya gets Hamilton, Maya gets Maria, and uh Jiro is Angelica because yeah Otoya and him had huge tension too.

I'm sure a hundred people have had this thought before me, but I don't fear being part of a crowd, so here's my opinion:
First Burn is written like Eliza always expected to get betrayed. Final Burn is written like Eliza always took Alexander at his word. And Final Burn is better because it's not about Eliza going "FUCK I KNEW IT." It was about Eliza going, "ALEXANDER I AM SO FUCKING KIND BUT I WILL BURN YOU TO THE GROUND."
And it builds a VERY important difference between Angelica and Eliza. Angelica saw Alexander's worst from the first moment. Eliza saw Alexander's best from his first moment.
Eliza isn't stupid or naive to believe he loves her. He says he loves her. Over and over. He shows he loves her. Over and over. It is not her fault that his response to "accused of something I didn't do," is "well, then I must yell what I DID do."
The problem isn't that Eliza loves him and trusts him. The problem is that he's a fucking dumbass. He's lucky the worst she did was burn her letters.
But also, what a fucking power move. "Oh, what's this? The one fucking thing that could help you? Well, I would LOVE to help your stupid fucking ass, but alas, I have these matches, and you literally wrote a 'yeah i fucked her' pamphlet. So, no, no one gets to have easy proof that I adore you. Lucky for you I forgave you after this and after the fucking dueling murder of our son and decided you were worthy of defense. You fucking asshole."
Like, Eliza Hamilton is so fucking interesting. So fucking life-ruining. So fucking life-saving. Thank goodness for kindness is really all I have to say.
Y'all are cooked when I'm good at drawing them and y'all gotta be surprised when this columbine and harlequin Hamilton first burn edit is coming out HEHEHEHEH ts took me 5 hours btw
DAMN IT LOOKS CRAP AF
