Here's a little poem I wrote oh so many years ago.  Please enjoy.

“Fireprint”

  Fire burning bright and wild

The essence of power and passion

Burning with desire from the heart

Able to take life and protect it

It creates and destroys in balance

  It burns a forest to the ground

And leaves the land barren and scarred

But the ash is fertile and allows new life

To rise from the death and destruction

Born from fire’s wild and untamed heart

  Symbolic of all living creatures

Each life burns through its course

Taking and destroying what they want

But creating something from this

A new life that starts to burn

  The Destroyer, Creator, and Cleanser

The faces and forms of fire

Cleansing the earth of the old

To give way to create something new

Only to be destroyed and cleansed

  The element of the eternal heart

Created by nature’s own desire

Living untamed without calm logic

Burning from other’s passion

It then lives for it desires alone
