i have too many ideas but IDK IF I SHOULD WRITE A FIC ABT THEM

um anyways if they existed today they would go to the conan gray concert this year

So basically their names are Goldstone and Fire Quartz right

And I remember that when I was watching it for the first time I realized that bismuths are made to build things right. Like that’s what I got from it and it made me think like are there gems on Homeworld that are actually made to create weapons?

And that’s how Goldstone was formed!!

They’re around the same height as a pearl, they’re pretty thin so they look kind of similar but they also aren’t quite as thin because yk they’re making weapons all day

There’s also two types (there might be more but I’ve only actually seen just goldstone and blue goldstone irl so) and the one I made is the blue goldstone type so her colour scheme is basically this

BUT ANYWAYS

So basically Goldstone met the Crystal Gems around the middle of the war, when she was sent to Earth to see if she could collect any new materials for more weapons and met Bismuth

Obviously Bismuth expected like hostility (and she was prepared to fight) but Goldstone was pretty chill, she didn’t even really like Homeworld that much but hadn’t had the chance to meet the Crystal Gems before this and the two ended up bonding over both creating weapons

So Pearl showed up after a while and was surprised to see some random Homeworld gem just talking to Bismuth calmly, and she was even more shocked when Goldstone introduced herself kindly and said she’d always thought Pearl was pretty cool

So she ended up secretly joining the Crystal Gems and became a spy of sorts, gaining a little bit of info on Homeworld and when they planned to attack and heading back to Earth to ‘collect more materials’ when really she was just telling the Crystal Gems whatever she knew abt the next attack

She honestly wasn’t too stressed about living like this, and while she wasn’t too attached to many members of the Crystal Gems (minus Bismuth, Pearl, Garnet, and maybe Rose) she definitely liked them a lot more than Homeworld

She knew how to fight and at some point had to bubble a few gems who found out about this, but she never shattered them and they were eventually let out, but they were the only ones who ever found out

But then Bismuth was bubbled, and everything went downhill very quickly

Obviously she was very upset about Bismuth’s disappearance, and by that point she actually had a few other goldstones who came with her to earth to get materials which she wasn’t too happy about because that meant that she couldn’t interact with the Crystal Gems while she was there. But at some point they all got caught in a battle and obviously she couldn’t fight in it (seeing as she’d be shattered if she fought against Homeworld but she’d be seen as a traitor if she fought against the Crystal Gems) so she ended up just sneaking away at the first chance she got, which is how she met Fire Quartz.

Fire Quartz had been part of a group who had come to Earth to stage an attack on the Crystal Gems, and she’d been fighting beside Blue Flower Agate (an off-colour who was #1 often tested on by Blue Diamond and #2 also not an agate at all, she just called herself that because she had no clue what exactly she was, I’ll make another post on her eventually but she was mentioned in the post abt Kiwi) before the other gem had disappeared. The two of them had actually been pretty good friends, since neither wanted to fight at all but they were both being forced to.

She ran away from the fight soon after Blue Flower Agate disappeared, and ended up accidentally going in the same direction as Goldstone, which is how she saw the gem attacking her. She didn’t know what side Goldstone was on, but she really hated the gem attacking her so she took the chance to fight her and ended up getting herself poofed in the fight, which led to Goldstone poofing + bubbling the other gem and bringing Fire Quartz to a safer place so she could wait for her to reform

So Fire reformed and was instantly shocked at just how pretty Goldstone was, and that was how a little crush on her formed. They talked for a while, and ended up really liking each other. So they agreed to meet up more often, and that exact place became their meetup spot.

That went on for a couple hundred years, since both came to Earth pretty frequently (and even when nobody else was going there, Fire would sometimes steal a ship and sneak off to Earth herself), up until the night that they planned to run away from all of this.

Both were tired of the fights (because Fire hated fighting against the group Goldstone was part of, and Goldstone couldn’t even fight without being found out by Homeworld) and decided to plan a night to finally run away from the war. They wouldn’t be on opposite sides anymore, and they wouldn’t have to worry about being caught during their meetups.

So eventually the night they planned to run away came along, and Goldstone was actually a little hesitant right before. After all, she wouldn’t be around the Crystal Gems anymore, and if they ever found Bismuth, she wouldn’t get to see her.

But she shook off these fears, because she couldn’t live without Fire. They met up that night, and finally managed to run away, and they never looked back.

At some point, though, Goldstone had one last thing to do on Homeworld; she had a few weapons there that she didn’t want to leave behind, so she and Fire ended up taking one last trip there so that she could collect her best weapons.

That was where they were when the corruption blast hit.

They got back to Earth just after it, and Goldstone landed them far from where she knew the Crystal Gems’ base was. They decided to settle near a little town, which turned into going from town to town, trying to find places to settle permanently.

They ended up staying in a little flower field for a long time, building their own small place to live in it and finally being able to just enjoy life together.

Eventually, though, around the time Rose met Greg, they discovered a little coffee shop in a nearby town. They were both surprised at the cozy atmosphere and the kind humans inside, and, after talking about it for a few weeks, decided it could be fun to open their own. After all, it wasn’t like they had anything else to worry about now.

So, they both ended up getting advice from the owner of that coffee shop. How to open one, how to afford to keep it open, how to attract customers, etc. After that, they had another conversation about whether they should do this or not, and eventually decided that they would.

So they opened their own coffee shop, close to a different town, and it was nice. They kept that place open for years, and eventually they knew their regulars by name. At the same time, they were still very much in love, and eventually adopted a little grey tabby cat together.

At some point, they found out about Beach City. They thought it looked nice, and they’d been looking for a change of scenery for a while. However, what they didn’t know was that, while they packed up their things and closed their coffee shop to move locations, Steven had already fixed things with the diamonds and the Crystal Gems were working on plans for Little Homeworld. Oh, yeah, and Bismuth was back.

So they opened their new coffee shop just outside of Beach City; like, literally right outside of it. They got a few frequent customers from Beach City, and some from the next town over, but eventually word spread to Steven that two gems had opened a coffee shop nearby, and he decided to head over there with Pearl, Amethyst, Garnet, and Bismuth.

Goldstone wasn’t actually behind the counter when they walked in; she was in the back while Fire was waiting for any possible customers, since it was a slow day and Goldstone had wanted a quick break. As soon as she walked out from the back, though, she was shocked to see Bismuth standing by the counter, talking to Fire.

The two had a heartfelt reunion, and Bismuth became a regular at their coffee shop. Eventually, they met Lapis and Peridot, and I like to think there was this one time when they fused for the first time ever and their fusion panicked and went to Garnet for help since neither had ever fused with anyone before and didn’t know how to unfuse, somehow.

Anyways I love them very much they are my sillies and I just AGAHGAHAGAHHH

also i call them firegold but also sometimes goldquartz because idk which ones better but i kinda like firegold more
