Hello! We are Bouqueta, a self-organised queer feminist team based in Athens, Greece, that practices martial arts, self-defence and bodywork since 2020. We are having difficulties to pay the rent of our space at the moment because the group we share the space with has found a new home. We love our space because it really suits our needs and we've put a lot of effort into establishing this home. It has high ceilings ideal for our punching bags, open space for group trainings of many moving bodies, a humble garden for fresh air, and respectful relationships with our neighbours. The rent has been rising in recent years and is currently 410 euros per month, as well as electricity and water bills - a total of 600 euros per month. We have no savings left and need to cover the rent starting from January. We would like to raise enough money to cover the rent for a few months in advance so not to continue struggling month after month. We frequently organise events - including bazaars, parties, film screenings, plant/seed exchanges - to be able to cover our bills, as well as now actively seeking others to collaborate and join the space. But right now without other realistic options, we're forced to reach out for solidarity donations. We are setting our target at 2400 euros which will cover four months of rent and bills, which we will suppliment with what we can gather from our various events and trainings. With queer feminist, martial arts, self-defence, and bodywork solidarity we will keep the roof over our heads, the fire in our hearts and the gloves on our hands!
