Every other new moon, the cats of Havenclan will select a cat, regardless of age or role, to sacrifice for the sake of keeping an ancient curse at bay. One such cat, Rustfeather, begged her best friend to protect her son, and to take him away from that horrible place. And Glowstar obliged. She took Littlekit in the dead of night, two full days travel away, until they reached a place of towering trees and muffled sounds. They would come after them, Glowstar knew that, but maybe for just a little while they would be safe. Expect this story to contain gore, death (+child death,) manipulation, grief/depression, and ritual sacrifice. Anything else I'll give an extra warning for. This is definitely a dark story.
